1. Who we are

Vesta Binder is a service operated by Kaleidoscope Ventures LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), available at vestabinder.com. We help homeowners store, organise, and query documents and notes about their property.

2. What we collect

• Account data – your name and email address when you register.
• Home documents and notes – files, text, and metadata you upload or create inside the app.
• Usage data – pages visited, feature interactions, and error logs used to improve the service.
• Google account data – if you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the Vesta Binder service.
• To process and answer questions about your uploaded documents using AI.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset).
• To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorised access.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data storage and security

Your documents are stored encrypted at rest in an S3-compatible object store. Access is restricted to authenticated requests and time-limited signed URLs. We apply industry-standard security practices including TLS in transit, authentication tokens, and role-based access control.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Vesta Binder:

• Google OAuth. Used for optional sign-in with Google.
• Apple Sign In. Used for optional sign-in with your Apple ID. We receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide it) from Apple. We do not receive or store your Apple ID password.
• Anthropic Claude. Used to extract text and answer questions about your documents. Document text is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose, and is not used by Anthropic to train their models.
• Stripe. Used for payment processing. We do not store card details.
• Sentry. Used for error monitoring.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your profile settings. Data deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a consent cookie to remember your cookie preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
